Adaptogenic Chocolate Truffles

Who doesn’t love a chocolate truffle? However, unlike your typical truffles these fudgy bites contain an adaptogenic blend of the mushrooms Reishi and Cordyceps.

Medicinal mushrooms have been used for years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The health benefits of mushrooms are endless.

And I promise they don't actually taste like mushrooms.

Reishi is a powerful adaptogenic mushroom that stabilises immune system function, promoting a healthy immune system. It is also renowned for its ability to improve quality of sleep and has an anti-inflammatory action which is typical of adaptogens.

Cordyceps has long been used to improve physical performance. It is a powerful adaptogen that supports immune system function and fights free radicals.

I have been loving WunderWorkshop Golden Shrooms which is a mix of Reishi, Cordyceps, Turmeric, Black pepper, Ginger and Cacao.

I just add a teaspoon into my morning coffee.

1 tin red kidney beans, drained & rinsed

1 tbsp. almond butter

1 tsp golden shrooms

2 tbsp. cacao powder

2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

100g dark chocolate

Add all the ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth and the mixture has come together. Roll into balls and pop in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Coating options: cacao powder, sesame seeds, coconut, melted chocolate.
